From August 1, the NSW Government has temporarily eliminated stamp duty on all new off-the-plan homes priced below $800,000.

These changes will see first home-buyers save up to $31,335 on a new $800,000 off-plan property, but more importantly, the scheme builds on the $10,000 first-home-owner grant as well as the recently announced HomeBuilder Scheme.

HomeBuilder eligibility criteria

  • 1.Purchase an off-the-plan apartment and exchange contracts between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020.
  • 2.Your new apartment must be capped at $750K - Good news, 80% of The Foundry apartments are under $750K.
  • 3.You must earn no more than $125K as a single or $200K as a couple.
  • 4.First Home Buyers can also take advantage of the $10K first home owner grant and other grant schemes.
