A Foodie’s Paradise

Marketed as a luxury riverfront development, The Paper Mill in the western Sydney suburb of Liverpool also has serious foodie clout.

The newly opened Paper Mill Food features four restaurants — Charcoal Joe’s Lebanese Charcoal Chicken, Firepit, Georgie’s Pizzeria & Bar and Shepherd’s Lane Cafe & Dessert Bar without the added hassle of finding a table and chair — all restaurants surround an open, airy 570-seat eating space.

But The Paper Mill is not just about the food and easy lifestyle. The development offers a selection of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments — some with views of the nearby Georges River and some with views over the Sydney CBD skyline and the Blue Mountains.

The Paper Mill Precinct, located at 20-30 Shepherd St Liverpool, features four luxury riverfront residential stages — The Bindery, The Gild, The Foundry and of course The Paper Mill. Currently, only two-bedroom apartments in The Paper Mill are available for purchase, with one-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments only available to rent.

Availability of the two-bedroom apartments are limited — with only two remaining. Of those two, one is just a two-bedroom unit and the other a two-bedroom unit with an extra study and a massive 34sqm balcony. Internal sizes range from between 81-92sqm and external from between 11sqm and 34sqm. Prices start at $625,000.

Features of the two-bedroom packages include pet-friendly apartments, airconditioning, premium appliances, quality fixtures and finishes, floorboards, built-in wardrobes, internet and NBN connectivity and a shuttle service to nearby train stations.

For those wondering why the development is named The Paper Mill, the land was originally part of the Collingwood Estate, owned by wool merchant James Henry Atkinson who, in 1864, sold off some land to the Australian Paper Company. The Collingwood Paper Mill was launched in 1869 and soon became Australia’s largest paper mill.
