Southwest Sydney’s Newest Dining Destination Set to Open

Southwest Sydney’s newest dining destination is set to open soon, with five offerings under one roof in a 150-year old heritage-listed building by the Georges River in Liverpool.

Restored as part of Coronation Property’s residential development, work at The Paper Mill’s café and dining precinct are well underway, with the doors to the Shepherd Street venue expected to open in August.

Key to the vision of Coronation’s Managing Director, Joseph Nahas, the dining quarter will complete the lifestyle element of The Paper Mill precinct, a residential community that showcases world-class design, lush landscaping and a vibrant riverfront lifestyle.

At the helm of the landmark eatery will be executive chef Nader Shayeb, formerly of Nour in Surry Hills, known for its contemporary take on Middle Eastern Food.

The precinct will house five unique offerings: Shepherd’s Lane Cafe and Dessert Bar, Georgie’s Pizza and Bar, Charcoal Joe’s Lebanese Chicken, The Firepit Meat and Seafood and a private dining room for events.

Backed and run by John Sahyoun’s Karima Group, the dining precinct is reflective of an increasingly common model for Western Sydney, with multiple offerings under one roof.

The Paper Mill’s dining precinct has been taken to the next level, with globally-experienced and much-awarded interior designer Paul Papadopoulos of DS17 (Alpha, Lotus Restaurant) executing the fit-out, which reflects a monochrome palette and honours the industrial heritage of the building.
